Politicains wanted! Minimum qualification- Graduation in political science IAS would be preferable

In a country where the primary education is free & compulsory, where we have beautiful imagery put together in a public service films on education with kids from various villages going to school, with an impact full tagline “School Chalein Hum” we also have an Idea commercial depicting a politician clueless whether she should sign on a paper that says if farm lands should be turned into malls. Yes agreed that power of the money makes people do things but can u imagine for a decision like that having to ask the public, I mean isn’t it common sense that in a country where farmers are turning to suicide due to bad crop for the politicians to not be made to look so dumb! This brings me to the thought that it’s the politicians who need to education more than anyone else. At one side when u don’t have a management degree people are denied jobs, where engineers after doing their engineering go to part time courses while working so that they can get a business school degree & higher their benchmark for a better job & a better pay packet, while on the other side we have so many politicians in good positios who have pending murder cases against them. While the terror attack is still going on we have politicians remarking that this seems to be a very small incident in this big city & yet others saying that women adapting to western cultures have no right to wear lipstick & powder & abuse politicians in a cosmopolitan city that sees men & women stand at par with each other. Also makes me wonder which century are we living in? is India really Shining or is that a fancy gimmick pulled together by some people in power.
Today u cant get a job as a receptionist if you are not a graduate, you cant get a job at a bank if u haven’t been to a management school, a software engineer will be paid lesser than another coz the other has an additional marketing degree. Is it so pathetic to ask for politicians to be educated, is it pathetic to say that as a politician the least qualification that is required of them is to be a graduate in Political Science, if not the IAS.
The flip side to this whole thing is that politics has become such a dirty game that it has become one career nobody wants to follow. Every kid in his early teens has always answered this one question “what will u be when u grow up” & the answer has always been pilot, doctor, airhostess, engineer, actor etc. Has anyone thought about that! When our parents were growing up they had to either be doctors or engineers because their parents thought those were the most respectable careers. Is being a politician such a disrespectful career option, is it that only politicians can open doors for their children to join the profession? In smaller towns & their universities all college students who stand for the general university elections are the guys who are not interested in studies & are the most notorious lot.
My basic question is who are these people running our country, why are the politicians not educated enough, why are we only holding rallies & asking for a change, we have to change ourselves, if u think we can make a difference why are we not standing for those elections. We are busy building groups collecting money for NGO’s but what’s the point. The amount of money that goes out of Bombay alone in the form of tax is enough to run atleast half the country then why are we still called a 3rd world country. Why is our standard of living so substandard, why is politics such a money making racket for that matter why is any government job, contract, tender, position etc a money making racket. In a very strange way its easier to renew your Indian passport if u are in another country than to renew one in your own. All government setups have been donated computers & are supposed to have all details computerized then why when u go for a police verification for your passport u have to wait for that darned red file to come up before u can be gven an NOC. Of course, I do understand am going all over the map and not able to make just one point & maybe even contradict myself, but actually all am trying to say is that lets get formerly educated politicians with a real degree & not a fake one from some university in Faridabad
